Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sterling Silver?

Sterling silver is a durable alloy comprising of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals (usually copper) to add strength to the silver for daily use. Sterling silver is usually hallmarked.

Do you ship JMP Silver pieces overseas?

Yes I do! I ship all over Australia and overseas as well. The shipping cost for overseas is naturally more expensive than nationally and on average can take up to 10 days.

National delivery is usually 5 to 8 days.

What is a good way to clean sterling silver, copper & brass pieces that I have bought from you?

This is a good question - please go to my product care page on this site and also refer to the printed info you’ll find in the packaging with your purchase from me. If you are ever in my neighbourhood - I am happy to give your piece a complimentary clean in the studio :)

How long will my custom order take?

Custom pieces are a favourite of mine and I like to take my time to get them right. After an initial consultation you can expect to have your finished piece in two to three weeks.

Do you do stone setting?

No I am not trained in traditional stone setting. I do incorporate beads in my work but if you like I can send you some recommendations for great stone setters.

Your jewellery seems expensive. Why is that?

I am a sole trader/craftsman and I make everything myself from start to finish. Being a traditional craft every piece takes time. We are in a time too where especially silver has increased by 270% in price - I try to minimise the cost for my clients but we are in crazy times. Rest assured buying a piece of my work is good and sound investment in happiness. Please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss further :)
